Monachus Yachts - Timeless Philosophy of Shipbuilding

Back in 2006 in the small town of Muć, near Split, the idea of building timeless, lobster style luxury motor yachts began with the introduction of the Pharos 43 and Issa 45. These classic yachts remain the mainstay of the Monachus brand and have evolved over time, adopting many custom design elements and features while maintaining their elegant lines. As time passes, the visionary design of these yachts seem to gain relevance and are recognized more and more whether in Mediterranean, Florida, or the Far East.

The modern production facility is driven by enthusiasm throughout the production process combined with modern production methods and skilled craftsmen allowing for highly customized vessels of premium quality, offering superb value to their clients. Fast forward to 2021, and we see the shipyard has plotted an ambitious course.

New Monachus 70/70Fly

The construction of the new premium model 'Monachus 70-Fly' is underway, offering the traditional Mediterranean style and modern design features as in the Pharos 43 and Issa 45 models, but with a wealth of experience and design features that sophisticated clients demand. At 21.5 meters LOA and with a 5.7 meter beam, the hull lines offer a highly accentuated bow which is both practical and visually stunning, highlighting the agile dynamics of the vessel. Even at first glance, it is obvious that this is an elegant yacht with a sporting spirit backed by serious maritime capabilities. But first glances to not do it justice, as serious propulsion technology place this model at the pinnacle of classic-style motor yacht production.

Two 13 liter, 900 hp Volvo engines are mated to Volvo IPS- 1200 propulsion systems, providing the propulsion effect of classic shaft driven propellers of with 1200 hp. In addition to the fantastic propulsion effect and maneuverability, the IPS drives significantly reduces fuel consumption by up to 35%. Exhaust gases are emitted deep below the water line on the IPS unit itself, resulting in extremely quiet and odorless voyages. To compliment the uniqueness of this premium vessel, a dynamic position system (DPS) will be a standard feature offering the user a one touch button to maintain an exact geographic position as well as control of the bow-stern axis. The Monachus 70-Fly is also equipped with IPS Joystick control units at three command posts located at the main deck wheelhouse, the flybridge wheelhouse and the aft cockpit. Self-leveling interceptor flaps provide a horizontal position during navigation, while self-tailing winches provide the final touch to allow this vessel to be handled by a crew of as few as two persons. All these features are designed to improve real world usability.

The interior is offered in three and four cabin versions, each with their own toilet and shower. Both versions offer an optional double skippers cabin with a bow entrance. The galley is located near the cockpit for maximum practicality and use of the cockpit space. At Monachus, they believe the word luxury to be self-evident, instead they emphasize uniqueness! The first Monachus 70-fly will be commissioned for the 2022 boating season for a loyal and long-term owner of a Monachus Pharos 43.
