Boot Düsseldorf highly confident of return in 2022

Boot Düsseldorf director Petros Michelidakis says the world’s largest indoor trade show for the boating and water sports sectors will return in force in 2022, with new show themes planned. He also predicted the global boating sector in general will grow by 4% a year over the next six years, based on surveys of industry members.

“We are more than confident that we will meet again in Duesseldorf next January,” Michelidakis told an online breakfast meeting, hosted by the Boot Düsseldorf team together with EBI - European Boat Industry. 

The Düsseldorf show, always held in January, routinely attracts a quarter of million visitors. The 2022 event will be held from Jan 22-30 under the “reboot your business” motto. The 2022 show will stress new themes, said Michelidakis, i.e., sustainability, especially new propulsion systems, and coastal tourism because of strong demand for charters and other services.

“We’ll not only present products (in 2022) but also create a forum to answer questions from boaters about sustainable technologies", he said.
