Croatia was nominated in three categories for the prestigious American Travvy Awards
Great news for Croatia and Croatian tourism comes from America. Our country was nominated in three categories of the prestigious American tourism award Travvy Awards, often called the "tourism Oscar." Croatia was nominated for the best destination in the Mediterranean and the best destination for cruises, while the Croatian Tourist Board has the opportunity to win an award in the category of the best European tourist organization.
"We are delighted that the qualities of Croatia as a tourist destination have been specially recognized by the Travvy Awards 2024. These nominations reflect the hard work and dedication of the Croatian tourism industry to achieve international competitiveness. We are very proud that, based on its advantages and a wide range of tourist products and services, we are successfully presenting our country as a top destination on a global level," said Leila Krešić-Jurić, director of the CNTB Representative Office in the USA.
The Travvy Awards, sponsored by TravelPulse.com and AGENTatHOME magazine, are among the most prestigious awards in the US travel industry. They recognize the highest standards of excellence and are awarded to various stakeholders, such as national tourism organizations, destinations, tour operators, carriers, travel agents, products, etc. Various experts from the tourism sector and the general public vote on them.
The 2024 Travvy Awards winners will be announced at a ceremony on November 7 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Florida. Online voting is open until September 6.
Let us add that the opportunity to win these prestigious awards also emphasizes the growing recognition of Croatia as an excellent world tourist destination in America, our most crucial distant market from which we generate the most significant tourist traffic.
Namely, in the current part of the year, Americans have made over 469 thousand arrivals and 1.4 million overnight stays in Croatia, which, compared to the same period last year, represents a growth of 6% in arrivals and 5% in overnight stays. Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, Hvar, and Rovinj are American guests' favorite Croatian destinations.
