The golden anchor of the Nautical Patrol went to Marina Kornati and Marina Frapa
On the first day of spring, the laureates of the biggest Croatian award in nautical and nautical tourism for the year 2022, called the Nautical Patrol, were announced, which for the first time ever used online surveying of sailors. For the first time, the evaluation of the work of the marina was for the whole year, not just the summer season, and for the first time ever, the rating of the marina included its online reputation. Nautical guests of Croatian marinas awarded the golden anchor to Marina Frapa Rogoznica with an average score of 4.9.
Marina Frapa won this highest Croatian award for the second time in a row. The silver anchor went to Marina Funtana (4.8), and Marina D-Marin Dalmacija in Sukošan near Zadar, the largest marina in Croatia, won the Bronze anchor (4.7).
In the competition of the best marinas with charter, Marina Kornati in Biograd na Moru, which has 720 berths, of which 400 are owned and as many as 320 intended for charter, was overwhelmingly celebrated. One of the first charter fleets in Croatian nautical was created here. Namely, Ilirija d.d. immediately in 1974, in addition to the marina, founded its own charter fleet consisting of 40 Elan vessels. In order to create better conditions for all guests, both boat owners and those on charter, a thorough reconstruction of the entire marina was carried out. The old fixed piers were removed and a new, wider and more comfortable pontoon one was installed, the entire installation for electricity and water was changed, new sanitary facilities were expanded and built, especially for charter guests, and an automatic parking control system was introduced, while the restaurant has a reputation for good food. And the top of all is that it is an excellent starting point for cruises, especially to Kornati, which is how it got its name.
"Today, as many as 15 charter companies operate in the marina which attract thousands of guests during the season. It was their votes that earned this marina the recognition for the best charter marina. Illyria d.d. and Marina Kornati have achieved an excellent harmony of coexistence between boat owners and charter guests, which is normally a big problem for marinas whose owners of boats on a permanent connection often complain about the noise and mess created by "charters" every summer weekend. Let's add to all that the marina is so efficiently organized that it also hosts the largest Croatian nautical fair, the Biograd Boat Show", it was highlighted in the explanation of the award.
Reason to celebrate had also at the Olive Island Marina located in Sutomišćica on the island of Ugljan, which won the My Favorite Marina category. The accolade for the friendliest staff, the Golden Smile of the Adriatic, was awarded by sailors to ACI Marina Slano, the award for the Golden Mooring of Gastronomy was won by Martinis Marchi Marina, while the golden anchor for dry mooring was won by Mitan Marina.
