Italian builder presents first electric boat Capoforte SQ240i

Borgia, Italy-based Capoforte has unveiled details of its first fully electric boat – the Capoforte SQ240i. At 7.38m long and 2.46m wide, the SQ240i can carry up to eight people. Its Christian Grande-designed hull is optimised for a Molabo Iscad 50kW inboard electric engine or a Yamaha 3.7kW outboard motor with pod.

A wide, rounded bow permits a deck layout that centres around comfort, and the entire hull is made with infusion technology. The central console makes it easy to move about safely, while the presence of a large central sundeck at the stern permits full enjoyment of the full-width swim platform.

“The relaxed and convivial atmosphere on deck is enhanced by an extremely versatile layout, in which a large folding table can make room for an additional cushion,” says Christian Grande. “In the latter configuration, the entire bow section of the boat is transformed into a full-beam sundeck for maximum comfort.”

The Capoforte SQ240i will make its official public debut at boot Düsseldorf 2023 after a limited series of private events organised by the company’s dealer network.
