Omicron Yachts shipyard continues to operate at full capacity

Omikron Yachts has announced the delivery of hull No. 3 of its first production model, the OT-60, marking a significant milestone for the Greek boatbuilder. In a statement, the company says that its shipyard continues to operate at full capacity, with the delivery of hull No. 4 planned for the end of April and the construction of hull No. 5 as well as the start of the building process on hull No. 6.

Building on the success of the OT-60, Omikron is now developing the OT-80, representing the next evolution in Omikron’s concept of ‘slow yachting’. The project is by the same collaborators that worked on the construction of the OT-60, Omikron says. Lorenzo Argento and the Juan-K office will ensure that the OT-80 continues the brand’s tradition of “pushing boundaries and setting new standards” in the industry. Meanwhile, the Argo 54, Omikron’s 54m super sailing-boat, is said to be progressing seamlessly. Key components, including the 54m mast and 22m boom, are already on-site, awaiting assembly.

“The delivery of OT-60’s hull No. 3, the development of the OT-80, and the progress on Argo 54 all reflect our relentless pursuit of excellence,” says Nikolas Dendrinos, chairman of Olympic Marine, parent company of Omikron Yachts. “We are grateful for the collaboration with Lorenzo Argento and the Juan-K office, and we are excited to continue setting new standards in the world of luxury yachting.”

Omikron Yachts launched in 2019 with its first major project, the refit of the 107m gigayacht Dream, which involved lengthening the hull by 15m. Located in the Aegean, the company benefits from the services, facilities and expertise of Olympic Marine, established in 1969, allowing the brand’s entire design, engineering and construction process to be carried out in-house.
